Maintaining chip fat



If your chip fat splashes everywhere, chuck an onion in, it will calm it down.
If you fancy giving your chips an original taste, add a few cloves of un-peeled, yet crushed garlic.
Finally, to conserve chip fat longer, add an egg whilst it's still warm. It will bring any bits in the chip fat up to the surface.
