Getting rid of a hammer stain on wood

You may have already hit a piece of wood with a hammer in the wrong area, thus leaving a hammer stain on the wood. Here's how to get rid of it : put a tea towel in some luke warm water. Then fold it in four and put it on top of the stain. Put a hot iron on top of the tea towel. The water vapor will make the wood extend to it's original shape.
