Knowing how long waste takes to degrade

If you throw your waste on the ground, it's got a long life ahead! For example:
a handkerchief takes three months to degrade, a news paper between a month and a year, a cigarette but between one and two years.
Even fruit skin takes between 3 and six months.
Chewing gum is worse: 5 years, and a plastic bag between 100 et 1000 years.
Polystyrene will take 1000 years to disappear and glass 4000 years!
Finally, a can will take between 10 et 100 years.
Avoid all of this by throwing your waste in the bin.
