Preventing your hose from damaging plants

To prevent your hose from damaging your plants when you pull it, all you need to do is plant some pieces of copper pipe (possibly some empty bottles) all around your plants. The interval should be 30 centimetres.
The hose will then be trapped by this artificial border.. and your plants will be safe!
