Watering your plants whilst away

In order to give your plants a bit of water whilst away on holiday, cut some plastic bottles and put the bottle necks in the soil, at a 45 degree slant towards the roots.
Fill each bottle with some water. A bit of sand in the bottom of each whole will ensure that the soil won't block up the bottle neck.
