Explaining why something is forbidden to your child



Once you've established the rules and prohibitions, don't forget to explain why to your child. For example, why he/she shouldn't cross the road on his/her own, why he/she must be polite with others...

The more you explain why, the more easily he/she will accept these prohibitions.
