Teaching your child to realize what time of the day it is

When children are young, they don't realize what time of the dat it is or how time goes by. Teach him/her with simple sentences like : now you'll eat, then when you'll have finished you can go and play.
Then make him use : this morning, this afternoon, tonight. Then days of the week. (S)he'll distinguish quickly minutes from hours and days to weeks.
