Opening a tight jar lid

Rather then getting angry over a stiff jar lid that won't open, use a fork or a blunt knife (be careful not to injure yourself) and place in the gap under the lid. Push upwards and then you'll be able to open it effortlessly.
No need to be popeye, just a bit of know how!
