Training your dog to behave at dinner time

It's important that you teach your dog that he mustn't beg whilst you're eating and you must do so from an early age, whilst he's a puppy.
When you're having your meal, if he starts begging, completely ignore him.
If he carries on, tell him off but don't pay too much attention to him as he may insist, hoping that you'll give in.
Once you've finished your meal, you can them give him his dinner. Make sure you put his dish in a different area to where where you eat and always feed him in the same place.
That way, he'll learn that your dinner time is your dinner time, and his - his!
